BHR –V- CHADWELL HEATH

6 – 4 – 17/10/04

Today we were facing a team that we played last season and were beaten three times.  We were given a fantastic start after some good work by Kielan who showed great skill and determination to beat a couple of players and score only after just a few minutes. Both teams worked hard and showed plenty of spirit. Bush Hill Rangers made it 2-0, Alex scoring from close range after some good work by Eliot. The game was littered with free kicks and fouls as the game turned physical, but our strength held out and Eliot made it 3-0.  We were showing strength and determination and Reece in particular showed how to defend from the front, and was very unlucky not to get on the score sheet. Alex making it 4-0 before Chadwell Heath were awarded a penalty to make it

4-1. We were unfortunate to lose Baris just before half-time to a wreckless challenge.  This shook us up and for a while we struggled to match Chadwell Heath in a physical game, and they made it 4-2 just before half time.

After the break, we settled the quicker, and we were awarded a free kick mid-way in the Chadwell half. Jamel scoring a spectacular goal making it 5-2.  Chadwell responded with two quick goals after we lost concentration. In the closing minutes a long kick from Taylan was latched onto by Rishi who showed great pace and skill to finish and make it 6-4. The game still had an edge to it and Adem was the unfortunate one to pick up a yellow card, today’s match had a cup final atmosphere with both teams well supported and vocal! The whole team worked hard for each other and were very determined not to lose. 

Today’s Man Of The Match – A Joint Effort For: Taylan, Andrew, Baris, Adem, James and Jamel. Our defence had to be on form and we were.
