Today we were up against a team we have not faced before.    The game kicked off and for the first five minutes or so, both teams were showing good determination and spirit. The Bush Hill boys settled first and began to find their passing game and after a good move, Kash made it 1-0 to Bush Hill.  The game was littered with free kicks, as Newham’s tactics were to get more and more physical.  On a few occasions, the referee had to speak to a few of their boys after some late and high challenges were made. Credit to our boys, who let our football do the talking. As the half went on, the pressure was mounting on the Newham goal.  Bush Hill were awarded a corner, Halil whipped it in with his left foot, the ball had pace and swerve and it was sweetly met by Kash who headed home from close range, 2-0 to Bush Hill.  Newham responded with a spell of pressure on the Bush Hill goal.  After some more pressure from Newham, the Bush Hill boys treated everybody that was lucky enough to witness it, to one of the best team goals this season, Brandon got the ball wide left, the next pass sent Kash racing down the left towards the touch line, he looked up and drove the ball across the Newham area, where on queue Nazeem arriving at pace, powered the ball home from close range, 3-0 to Bush Hill.   Half time score 3-0 to Bush Hill.

At half time I praised the boys on their first half performance, our determination not to concede alongside our fast attacking movement, was a joy to watch. I told the boys to carry on.

The second half kicked off and once again the tackles were flying in, both teams showing a good fighting spirit. For long periods of the second half, the game was end-to-end action, with both defences working overtime. But once again, Kash showed great pace and power as he forced the ball home, final score 4-0 to Bush Hill.
