Selwyn - v - BUSH HILL RANGERS

This was the first game of the season and we were up against a team that was also formed this year.  As the game started we were clearly on top, Bush Hill looked organised and prepared. Our teamwork and passing was clearly too much for the other side and after only six minutes, some good work down the left hand side by Halil, as he crossed in for Kash to make it 1-0. The boys were playing really well and we were comfortable from back to front.  Kash added his second after 14 minutes, with Mohamed making it 3-0 at half time.

At half time I asked the boys to continue to play our football and concentrate at the back as we were in total control.

The second half started with Selwyn on the front foot, and after an initial good save from Brandon, the ball broke loose and they scored with an easy tap in.  However, we soon took control of the game and with James showing a ‘they shall not pass’ attitude, our midfield, with Mohamed driving us on soon created another chance for Kash, who took it, for his hat-trick! Soon after he added his fourth with a long range effort which left their goalkeeper no chance - great goal!
