Before kick off today I reminded the boys of how pleased I am so far this season in the way we play our football, and I told them that today I wanted to continue our passing and working as a team. As the game kicked off the boys didn’t take long to show me exactly how good we are with regards to our passing and moving.  All three midfielders combined well and we were soon creating chances and it wasn’t long before Mohamed got our first to make it 1-0 to Bush Hill. Then after some more good work by Kieran, Mohamed added our second, making it 2-0 to us.  As the first half went on, the boys continued to show exactly what we can do when we all work as a team and at times it was ‘just like watching Brazil’!

The second half and Bush Hill carried on where we left off in the first half.  Plenty of passing and plenty of creating chances with Nazeem, Connor and Mohamed all coming close early on.  The pressure was mounting on Selwyn’s goal and they were finding it difficult to clear their lines and it wasn’t long before another chance fell to Nazeem, who this time punished them to make it 3-0.  On the rare occasion when Selwyn attacked our goal, they came up against a well organised and determined defence, with Paul, Mitchell along with Brandon, always communicating and helping each other. The chances were still coming thick and fast for us and with a few minutes to go Mohamed made it 4-0. With seconds to go, Selwyn broke and were rewarded with a last minute consolation goal.  Final score 4-1 to Bush Hill.
