CHADWELL HEATH -v- BUSH HILL RANGERS

Today we were up against a more established Club, who have teams in age groups ranging from Under 7’s - Under 16’s.  Before kick off I asked the boys to be focused and to believe in our ability as a team, as today’s game should be more of a test for us.

As the game started, we were clearly in control from kick off and our midfield soon started to create chances for our striker. After eight minutes Mohamed combined well with Halil on the left wing to create a chance for Kash, who took it and we were 1-0 up!  Then Chadwell Heath responded with some good pressure and were rewarded with a corner, but we were solid in our defence with a great save from Brandon, then soon after a clearance off the line by James.  We soon counter attacked with a long range effort by Halil going just wide.  Halil’s movement and passing was creating space for us, and soon after Kash added his second. After some more good work down the left, we won a corner. Greg’s quick thinking set up Mohamed who scored from a tight angle,    3-0 at half time.

At half time I told the boys to keep believing and playing our football.

Soon after kick-off Kash made it 4-0.  Mohamed started to take control of the midfield and even though he was being kicked and pushed, he just got up and got on with it! soon scoring two quick goals to make it 6-0.  Not long after Kieran hit the post after some determination.  Mohamed then added another to make it 7-0.  We still had to concentrate as Chadwell were getting quite physical and their frustration was beginning to show, but our defence stood firm with James showing that he could give just as well as he was given! With minutes to go, Chadwell broke free and their striker shot hard and low but Brandon was equal to this and pulled off a great save! Bush Hill soon got the ball up the other end for Kieran to score, to make it a final score of 8-0 to Bush Hill! Well Done Boys!
