UNDER 13’s - 5/2/06
BUSH HILL RANGERS –v- SHINERS 3 0 Once again today’s game was to be about focus and getting the job done. I reminded the boys that for the remaining games of the season it will be a lot easier for the opposition’s manager to motivate his team as we are at the top to be shot at. We must continue to be professional and let our football do the talking. As the game kicked off once again the opposition adopted a massively defensive stance and it was up to our boys to break them down. We were solid at the back, creative in midfield and quick upfront. It wasn’t long before the chances began to flow. After a good passing move Rishi scored to make it 1-0. In the following minutes it seemed at times that their goalkeeper was the only one playing for them. He continued to pull off save after save, which was clearly keeping them in the game. The Bush Hill Boys continued to move the ball well and it wasn’t long before Tashan added to our score, after some good link-up work with Rishi, 2-0 to Bush Hill. This was turning into a one-sided affair, and if it wasn’t for the Shiners goalkeeper who continued to deny our boys the score sheet would have been different by now. Half time score 2-0. At half time I congratulated the boys on their attitude and performance, we were playing some good football. As the second half kicked off once again, the Bush Hill Boys were the dominant force. I could continue to mention all the boys who kept working hard, creating chances and showing great concentration and determination at the back, in short, the whole squad did their jobs, and on the rare occasion that our goalkeeper was called upon, Taylan pulled off a great save from a long range effort from a free kick. Minutes before the end, Tashan burst through their defence to make it 3-0, final score to Bush Hill.
