After playing Woodford last time, we knew it would be a physical game. As the game kicked off, we soon created a chance with some good movement and passing.  Today, Woodford adopted a more defensive tactic, so space and time were going to be hard to find.  For long periods of the first half this was a scrappy affair, as the boys were finding it difficult to break down a well drilled and crowded defence, then after 26 minutes Tashan made it 1-0, which is how the first half finished.

At half time I told the boys to calm down as I could see a little bit of frustration sneaking in.  It was clear that Woodford were determined to keep the score down this time, after conceding 8 the last time we played them! I urged the boys to get the ball down and get it wide as our wingers had the beating of their defence. 

The second half kicked off and within minutes our wing play soon paid off and Rishi made it 2-0. Woodford never gave up and our defence had to remain focused at all times. On a few occasions that our defensive unit were called upon, they showed great aggression and determination.  Woodford continued to play with a defensive formation, even though they were 2-0 down! After more good wing play, Alex made it 3-0, quickly followed by Tashan to make it 4-0.  By this time we were camped in their area, it was only a matter of time before Tashan got his hat-trick to make it 5-0, final score.

Now that we have played every team once, it is clear that most teams will adopt a defensive attitude against us.  It is up to us to remain patient, and focused, as I know we have the ability to punish teams! We are Solid at the back, Creative in midfield and possess Real Pace upfront!  Well Done Boys!
